Elliott Erwitt is a French-American photographer. A leading figure in advertising and documentary photography, the 94-year-old has come to be fondly known as the Master of Photography due to his touching and iconic white and black photographs. His photographs are primarily candid and take inspiration from his life in Russia, France, Italy, and the USA. Set in the most ordinary backgrounds, the pictures still stand out due to the ironic and absurd tones they take.
The French- American photographer has seen life through the eyes of a janitor, a soldier, a freelance photographer, and also recently a producer. He has also created documentaries for HBO.
